Main Content

In July, ten Penn State Biology students traveled to Peking University for three weeks to complete the international portion of their embedded Biology 497I course.  In Beijing, Penn State and local students took this class together and gained a better understanding of American and Chinese culture. In additional to lectures and group discussions on topics in areas of developmental and cancer biology, the students had a guest lecture from Peking University faculty and visited a zebrafish facility. Moreover, the students have visited a number of historic and cultural attractions, including the Summer Palace, the Forbidden City, and the Great Wall.  For more information about this course, please visit http://elements.science.psu.edu/psu-pku and http://www.science.psu.edu/news-and-events/featured-news/penn-state-partners-with-peking-university or contact Dr. Zhi-Chun Lai at zcl1@psu.edu
