  • Turn off unnecessary lights
  • Turn off unnecessary equipment. We leave many machines turned on for convenience, but that draws power 24/7 when you might only need it for a few hours a day. 
  • Bring eating utensils in from home rather than using plastic. It only takes a minute to wash them each day.
  • If you use plastic utensils, wash them to use them multiple times. Think of that plastic fork sitting in the landfill for eternity.
  • Take the stairs! Each time you chose the stairs, you reduce the building's energy consumption and improve your health.
  • If you go out for lunch, consider the amount and type of packaging used for your food. Is there a place that uses less packaging or uses compostable materials instead of plastic?
